Rob Goode
I am a lifelong artist whose compulsive drawing and painting directed my talents to tattooing. I began tattooing as many tattooists do; by the grace of a few good friends interested in sporting some ink. Within a couple of years, I further pursued my “calling” by obtaining a fulltime position at Skin Graphics in Dolton IL in 1996. There, I spent nine years building a foundation for solid tattooing as well as refining my skills for intricacy, and multiple artistic styles. After that studio closed its doors, I found myself with another “family” refining my craft at Body By Design in Crestwood IL. At that point a former co-worker told me about Windy City Ink, so, I chose to join the crew to advance my work to yet another level. I enjoy all aspects of the tattoo art, black and gray as well as full color tattooing, though I prefer the dramatics and textures of black and gray images. I would have to say that realism is an obsession color or no color. Pin-ups, portraits, and dark imagery are some of my favorite subjects, but, make no mistake; I will put the same effort into the quarter-sized tattoo as I will a large portfolio piece.
